Arduino Day One November 30 2017, starts slowly for a birthday, get out of bed, make coffee, and eventually at the end of everything: PRESENTS! It started out with nothing too ground breaking, a few socks, and some pants, but oh how I was a fool for believing my parents had let me down! They handed me three separate little boxes, filled to the brim with different modules and sensors!

Resistor Rage! Every resistor has a certain amount of ohms, ohms are the unit delegated to electrical resistance. A resistor with 220 ohms applied to a 5v current, will cut down the power significantly. Instead of making things easy by just writing the amount of ohms on each of the resistors, in 1920 the Radio Manufacturers Association decided we needed a color code!

#LED LYFE The first project that anyone hoping to work with an Arduino should be to hook up a LED without burning it out. LED stands for light emitting diode, a LED, when powered, shines like a little sun. If you pump a little too much voltage into it however, it’ll slowly sputter out of existence leaving you with one dead LED and a little sadness. To avoid LED-e-cide, a resistor is your best bet!
